PLANNED FEATURES

This alpha release will be available to our developers. The BetaVerse Team is
planning on having
the following features for this release:
NETWORKING
- LOGIN - lets the user have an identity and password.
- CHAT - communication between two or more users.
- MOVEMENT - move on one computer and BetaVerse updates
the person's position on both computers.
GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE(GUI)
- LOGIN WINDOW - Window that accepts user identity and
password.
- CHAT WINDOW - Window that displays the text messages and
which users the user
communicating with (this window will be transparent).
- MENU BAR - Menu Bar which controls the following buttons:
- QUIT - Allows the user to exit the program.
- CHAT - Displays/Hides the chat window.
- LOOK - Displays information about objects or people. Look
will also show a zoomed picture of the object or person
- LED SIGN - A LED sign that displays current news about
BetaVerse and different community news.
- LOOK WINDOW - Window that displays the information about the
objects or people.
It will also show a zoomed picture of the object or person
BASIC 3D
- PLAYER MESH - lets the user load his/her own mesh from a
file.
- MOVEMENT - Allows user to move through the environment and
allows the user to see the position of
other people in the environment in their respective position.
- ANIMATION - This feature is still in the talks, and it will
be the animation of the player meshes.
